Giclée reproduction on archival-grade heavyweight art paper or 1.5" canvas. Original piece created with a textured mixed-medium technique featuring acrylic and ink. Please see 'The Details' section below for more information.
Outlaw is a declaration of autonomy. A woman on horseback, firing in both directions, she refuses the single narrative: past or future, expectation or permission. She protects what’s behind her while charging forward, fully aware and fully uncontained. The split composition reinforces this duality. The red upper field speaks to fire, risk, bloodline, and courage, an unflinching acknowledgment of intensity and consequence. Below, the mustard-brown ground roots the piece in dust, earth, and grit, echoing the land itself and the labor of survival. Together, they balance instinct and grounding, impulse and resolve.
Visually, the piece draws from Western mythology but reclaims it, placing a woman at the center of action, authority, and motion. The limited palette and graphic contrast give the work a poster-like presence, intentional and timeless, while the subject matter challenges the viewer to reconsider who gets to be dangerous, free, and iconic.
